Travel Notes and Information

Airport Transfers

The Ministry of Health and Population will provide airport transfers to and from contracted hotels in Cairo. In this regard, participants are requested to provide or update their travel itinerary and full flight details via the online registration website.

All passengers arriving from overseas to Cairo International Airport, immigration process will be done upon arrival in Cairo. Depending on the passenger’s arrival airlines and terminal, kindly check with airlines counter upon check-in to your flight(s). Immigration process facilitation and vehicle transfers between terminals will be provided by the Ministry of Health and Population if travel itinerary is provided in timely manner.

Local Transportation

The Ministry of Health and Population  will provide all local transportation from all contracted hotels to the meetings venue and all other associated events.

Bus schedules will be shared with all registered participants before the meetings date.

In case participants are interested to extend his/her accommodation in Cairo, participants can arrange all hotels/ tours bookings and arrangements with our travel agent.

For those who are staying at other hotels, kindly arrange your own transportation to and from the meetings venue and other associated events.


Visa Requirements

All participants must hold a valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 6 months from date of departure.

Citizens from the following countries are not required to obtain a visa when traveling to Egypt:

Bahrain - Saudi Arabia - Macao - UAE - Hong Kong - Kuwait - Oman
 

Citizens of the following countries can obtain visa upon arrival:

Armenia - Georgia - New Zealand - South Korea - Australia - Japan - Norway - Ukraine - Belarus - Macedonia - Russia - USA - Canada - EU Countries - Malaysia - Serbia - Vatican
 

Citizens from other countries not mentioned above need to obtain an entry visa through Egyptian Embassies or consulates in their countries. In this case, they can request for a visa facilitation letter via online registration by providing flight details, passport details, and a copy of the valid passport.

The members of your delegation could also kindly apply for visas at the Egyptian Embassy/High Commission in their countries of residence. However, only in case of non-presence of an Egyptian Embassy/High Commission at the country of residence, delegates are kindly requested to contact the Ministry team to arrange for visa.-


Travel Insurance

As a safety precaution, we urge all participants to have medical insurance. In case of emergency, the Ministry of Health and Population will provide transportation to the nearest medical center.


Security

Visitors are advised to exercise normal safety precautions and ensure that all valuables including tickets, passports, and travel documents, are always kept in a safe place. The hotels will have safety deposit box in the rooms or at the reception.

It is advised to carry a copy of your passport when being in Cairo and to keep your passport in the safety box in your hotel.


Dress Code

For meetings: Participants are expected to dress in business attire

For Gala dinner: Semi formal and Cocktail dresses
